Tax Liens in Your Credit Report

Dear Experian,

How long do public tax liens stay on your report after they have been released?

– SVB

Dear SVB,

Tax liens are removed seven years from the date they are paid and released. If left unpaid, tax liens remain for 10 years from the date they were filed.

Thanks for asking.
