Study finds notable differences in credit characteristics of men and women

A recent study comparing financial differences between men and women found that, overall, women are better at managing money and debt. Differences between the two populations include:

  • Men have 4.3 percent more debt than women
  • Men have a 2 percent higher credit utilization amount
  • Mortgage loan amounts for men are 4.9 percent higher
  • Men have a higher incidence of late mortgage payments by 7 percent

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.
