According to research from Experian Marketing Services, this trend of waiting to shop until the school year starts, has become more common in recent years. Bill Tancer, General Manager of Global Research at Experian Marketing Services, talked to CNBC about this trend, encouraging retailers to build promotional campaigns that speak to consumers in late July and then again in September.
