Louis DeNicola is a writer with over a decade of experience covering consumer credit, personal finance and fraud. In addition to Experian, recent clients include American Express, Capital One, FICO, Fortune, Persona, Synchrony and USA Today.
Louis’ early work helped people save money through travel hacking and deal hunting. He then specialized in consumer credit and taxes—two important and often misunderstood aspects of personal finance. More recently, he’s focused on scam and fraud prevention to help readers protect what they’ve earned.
Louis also creates content related to credit, lending and fraud for industry audiences. He brings the behind-the-scenes knowledge from working with lenders, credit scoring agencies and fraud prevention vendors to his consumer-facing articles for Experian and others. Banks, lenders, credit bureaus, publishers and fintech startups trust Louis to write for their consumer and industry audiences.
Outside of work, you can often find Louis at his local climbing gym or cooking up a storm in the kitchen. He lives with his wife and his cat in beautiful Oakland, California.
